Ragnar Kjartansson: The Visitors

November 5, 2022–January 26, 2025

Floor 6

Ragnar Kjartansson’s The Visitors evokes a range of emotions as multiple Icelandic musicians and singers spread across nine different projector screens, coming together to perform in a beautiful, aged mansion in New York for an hour-long performance. Grab a seat on the floor or lean against the wall to take in the performance. As the performance progresses, pay attention to how other performances interact with other screens and surroundings. If you’re patient enough, stay to the end to see how the visitors finish their performance.
